What we do
Material selection: Choose from sustainably sourced hardwoods—walnut, white oak, maple, cherry, olive or sapele. We guide you on grain, color, and durability to match your design vision.
Design consultation: We’ll review dimensions, load requirements, use (books, display, storage), mounting type (floating, bracketed, built-in), and finish preferences. Sketches and digital mockups help you visualize the result.
Milling and joinery: We mill boards to precise thickness and width, edge-profile to your chosen shape (square, eased, bevel, bullnose), and use durable joinery for longer spans or multi-board tops. We reinforce as needed for heavy loads.
Surface preparation: Hand-planing and sanding bring out the natural character of the wood. We fill knots or voids only when you prefer a cleaner look; otherwise we preserve authentic features.
Finishing: Choose oil, natural oil/wax, water-based or conversion varnish finishes in matte, satin, or gloss. Finishes enhance color, protect against wear, and are matched to your maintenance preferences.
Hardware and mounting: We offer concealed and decorative supports—steel brackets, hidden floating systems, cleats, or custom metalwork—finished to coordinate with your space.
Quality check and protection: Each shelf is inspected for straightness, finish uniformity, and structural integrity. We apply protective packaging for transit and installation.
